Ho Ho Ho

Hi again. I'm sorry I couldnt update my blog last week, actually I had gone to meet my nana nani in Vashi. We had so much fun. I was little cranky in the beginning but when I got used to everybody I played so much! Nani got me a huge helicopter (it is actually bigger than me) and it stays up in the air all the time. I sat on it, I jumped for it and even ate it. Its was attracted by its bright colour and it ability to float in mid air. And then when I was bored of it masi took me for a round and showed me Christmas decorations. I saw lights, stars, bells, funtoons and so many things. There was so much glitter and cheer that I couldnt get my eyes off it! To go merry in the Christmas cheer I also wore my Santa cap - just to qualify as the cutest Santa on the streets. I had lots of fun, and Papa - I think you must take me to Nana Nani more often - what say?

Tribute to dadu - part 2

You know when I discovered that I can have a firm grip on things and pull, and when I do people make funny faces expecially if its their hair or beard, I make sure I myself with their expressions. And so when Meher and Kabir, my cousins try fiddling with my toys, I grab a handful of their hair and there they go Ouch Ouch! Common dude! whats there to scream? All is fair in love and war :) And though that is routine, its my mountain climbing or rather dadu climbing that interests me the most. I take a firm grip on his moustache and go up up and above! Aint it cute dadu?

Tribute to dadu

Thanks all my fans for leaving all the lovely comments. I love you all loads...and I promise I'l give you'll special scented autographs jst as I figure out how to write! Anyway, this post is especially for my dadu... he really loves me a lot and you know he understands me sooooo well. He thinks its cute when I wriggle out of the arms of the person holding me. Thats because he understands that I am restless and not happy with just one pair of arms. I need to be pampered by all. So what if I make life a tussle for the person holding me, he still loves me and wants to pick me all the time! I love it too dadu!!!
And ya, little of you know, but kids like me have a mind of our own. And I'm so adorable. Like Dadu says, I love playing with toys, the only thing is that my toys are a little different. I like black cell phones, hair clips, and the likes. And what about all the toys in my toy basket? They are for the birds...haina dadu??
I also like to play with colorful balls and baloons, and like dadu says, the basis on which I like or dislike them depends on how they taste! hee hee.

I'm a growing boy

I'm a growing boy, all set to cut my 7th month bday cake today. And on this date I can proudly say that I have mastered the art of troubling my mommy, getting everything I want with a simple cry and flashing my million dollar smile, just when its required. I can crawl much better now and turn and tumble like nobody's business. Whats more? I can also sit with my own support!

Milky Boy!

I still love my milk, dunno if its because of the convenience of it or because of the fancy bottles mum gives it to me in. And now that I'm a big boy I can hold my own bottle while drinking milk! Ting ting tiding!

God's favourite child

Babaji has been very nice to me so mumma said I must thank him for all the love, care and good health he has blessed me and my family with. To do so, she took me to Golden Temple in Amritsar. We woke up in the morning, got all dressed and got set for the "golden experience". There was a long queue to meet Babaji and we waited till our turn came. Then we went inside and prayed to God. Minku mamu made me have amrit from the sarover there, where I also saw fish. The place is beautiful and I think each one of you'll must go there!

Taste of the Mughals

While in Amritsar I was hooked on to a new addiction. The Mughlai speciality - Naans. Well yeh, I don’t have teeth so I cant bite into yummy butter naans, but I louuvvveee licking em!! Slurp Slurp!

Wedding bells!

Apsha masi’s wedding was so much fun. I danced so much that Mishu masi’s shoulder started aching carrying me. I was dressed to kill at every occasion but the best was the wedding day when I wore a silk kurta pyjama (and reet a lehenga). We both looked so good that we could have gotten married just that day, had we not been under age!! Uffff!!

My first flight!

Minku Mamu took me to Amritsar in an aeroplane. It was so big and there were so many people! All of them first made a straight queue and then got inside the aircraft like good school going children and maintaned order. But then you see there has to be noise where I am there. Pretty air hostesses came and gave me kissies just as I flashed my million dollar smile to them. To impress them I didn’t even cry in the air craft, except for when we were taking off, and that’s because I was a little nervous and they were totally out of sight!

Beach Time!

With Minku Mamu was in Mumbai, those two days were very hectic for me. So many dinner parties and lunch treats. However, what I enjoyed the most was my trip to Juhu Beach. I played in the sand and saw lots of kites in the sky. I starred at the water and enjoyed the breeze. There were so many kids there running around and building castles in the sand. When I saw them, I silently prayed to God, “Babaji make me big and strong soon, so that I too can play in the sand and splash water on my friends”. I know Babaji will listen to me, he always does.

Gimme more!

I went to amritsar with Minku Mamu and mumma. When Minku Mamu came to Mumbai he got me so many gifts. Toys, clothes, and so much more. It was like a magic bag that has so many things. Out came first toys then clothes and then, when the gifts finally did get over, I couldnt believe myself, so I kept searching in the bag for more!

Love Express!

Sorry fans for the long break, but I was out of town. I went to amritsar for Apsha masi and Simer masus wedding. They both are such a cute couple and guess who I met there amongst all my admirers? My Cardiff cousin Reet. Gosh!! Shez so pretty! Her eyes…I just kept starring at them… but you see shez from Cardiff, so I was a little precautious about my moves. But she. Uff! She kept hugging me and kissing me. She even gave me flowers. When mum and Mini Mami put us to sleep together we pulled each others hair and if someone gave her more attention that me, I even scratched her. She did that to me too, so take it as our way of showing love.

Arent kids supposed to be messy?

My favourite time pass these days is spilling my food all around. I never stay steady while I’m eating so automatically all my khanna is all over and now that I have mastered the art of getting a grip on things and pulling them off, I pull off my bib when I’m eating and even snatch the spoon from mums hand and then – there goes all the food…its all over me!! What fun!! hee hee! chorie mamma!!

Love you fans!!

D-A-S-H-I-N-G!

Yesterday was diwali and mannn was I looking dashing!! A crisp kurta pyjama and a hot stole, first I was a little confused, why is mum dressing me up in a salwaar kameez like hers, is she short of clothes? But then when nana nani came and told me so many times that I’m looking so cute I realized that this is a traditional kurta pyjama usually worn on festive occasions like these. My pyjama was still a little long for me, but mum folded it up and hid my diaper below it neatly. Everyone who came in the house went totally fida on me and loaded me with gifts.

Dadi said I looked like a bihari.. hope Thackeray uncle dusnt hear this! Papa thought I looked like a south Indian (he’s influenced by Nani) and masi said I looked like krishn kanhaiya! Well with all those girls around me, I ought to spell out my charm, haina?

Sleepy time!!

It’s a little difficult to put me to sleep sometimes, but mum has mastered the trick for that too. She stretches her legs and makes me lie down upside down on them. Then pushes me front and back-- front and back! I struggle, look up, left, right, turn around and do everything I can, but my mums smart. She holds my legs and goes front nd back-- front nd back...and finally after a lot of struggle, (its entertainment for dad when he wakes up in the middle of the night), I find myself asleep.

Crawl crawl!

Yes I crawl. Ok its not exactly crawling but I do put my bum up and try to push. It not my fault I usually end up in the same place I was earlier. Its funny is it?? Try keeping something I really really want in front of me and see me actually move. Once I even went from one end of the bed to another…nd mum awarded me with so many kisses and hugs for that!

Born with a silver spoon

Mum actually takes old times sayings very seriously. She feeds me with a silver spoon and how I trouble her. I love fooling her by taking in all the food inside my mouth and when shez satisfied push it out with my tongue. It messes my clothes and yet I love it..after all what are those clothes in the cupboard for!

Brother sister bonding

My badi didi meher is such a doll!! When I was in mammas tummy she used to listen to me nd caress me even there. Now that I am born she takes such good care of me. When I cry, she says, “No No crying.. No crying!”, and is every ready to help mamma change me or keep an eye on me. She gives me kisses and pulls my cheek! Shez jst two bt for me shez as caring as the dearest few!

Live life king size

What does Vijay Mallya have that I don’t have?? He’s got lavish homes? Well my home is too big for me to wander in it, nd I 2 have a private gym, personal spa, clothes for every occasion, one cry nd everyone is on their toes to give me food, to change my diapers and yeh!! I have so many girlfriends too!!

Welcome home

Tayiji decorated my home in blue, silver and white when I came home from the hospital. Bows, balloons, funtoons brought the entire home to life, and blue my favourite made it presence felt everywhere, so much that even my cake was blue and white! I wonder how it tasted mumma didn’t let me have it :( .

My room, themed Winnie the pooh saw all the characters of the cartoon film welcoming me while the sky….opps the ceiling was full of stars, that glowed in the dark! Beautiful no doubt! To top it all, there was also a wall of fame, just next to my cot, where all my friends and relatives have written messages for me…and good wishes are always welcome!

Name me

Papa named me ranvir (guess it’s the Pali Hill effect – I share my neighbourhood with the famous Kapoors). However, I seldom hear someone calling me that. Its either a Ranveeeeeeeeer or names that people totally responsible for pampering me call me…nani calls me sweetu (that I am) and Nana partner (after a long time has a got a male in the family for some woman bashing!). Mamma calls me chotu (did she expect me to be born as big as an elephant??), while Dad is happy with Rannu. Dadi calls me Kuttriya (arey pyar se baba!) and Nana, Brother John because I don’t sleep or muthu swami when he is in a south Indian mood. Meher nd Kabir, my elder cuzins call me baby (they still dnt know too many words… who else can understand this better than me!) and my masi, oh I’m scared of her!! She calls me butter chicken coz that’s her favourite!! I hope she dusnt gulp me down some day!!

Here i am!

Finally masi got out of her lazy bed and decided to carve my footprint on this web space. So here I am, exactly 5 and a half months old, extremely naughty, very very adorable and always enthusiastic about meeting new people, ever ready with my million dollar smile. Every one says I’m on papa, poor mamma feels so cheated…Dnt worry mamma, I promise I’ll be a mamma’s boy (like most guys are:P)!!
